Do You Know What Today Is? It's Our Anniversary!

Anyone else know this awesome Tony, Tone, Toni song? At some point Thomas started singing it to me on our anniversary every year and somehow it just stuck and is our anniversary theme song. We were both randomly breaking out in song all day Sunday.

This last Sunday, April 20th Thomas and I celebrated our 12th anniversary. As anniversaries always seem to do it made me reflect. I am so grateful for the life we've built together and the opportunity to learn and grow together. This first picture is the work of sweet Aisy J. Then Townsend took over and managed to get our heads in the shot.



Since this is MY blog I wanted to take just a minute and tell you a few of the reasons why I am still so in love with my Thomas after twelve years together.
-He's a builder...his words to me are always so kind and make me feel like I'm the greatest person alive.
-He is the least judgemental person I have ever known. He always looks at things from other peoples perspectives. Once I was pretty upset with a person who had said some unkind things about Thomas and instead of being hurt by it he actually defended this person and was sad that I would be mad at them.
-He loves his kids and can't stand to see them sad or hurt. He is a very fun, attentive, and loving father.
-I LOVE that he is sensitive. He just might have a reputation for crying and I love it.
-He listens when I have something to say and does everything he can to support me.
-He tells me I'm beautiful and that he loves me at least once every day.
-He loves people in general and wants them to be happy. He's not afraid to share the gospel with others.
-I find him to be extremely amusing.


I also love that he makes macaroni and cheese for lunch every Sunday. It's a sweet tradition, one of the many "little things" that make up our family. I remember when we only had to make one box, then two, and now we're up to three. It's so exciting to think of the future, all the possibilities, all that we can become. How many boxes of macaroni and cheese will the future hold?

P-I-G

Yesterday was such a perfectly beautiful, sunny, and almost warm day. The kids talkedThomas into playing a game of PIG with them while I made dinner. A soon as dinner was over Townsend was begging to go finish "beating dad." I couldn't resist going out with them. I generally tell everyone that I'm just not a game-playing, sport-playing kind of girl. But the truth is I really just don't like to lose. Unfortunately I'm an even worse winner. I just might be a bit of a trash talker.


I started out getting my trash kicked. As you can see my family has got some skills. Is this not the funniest action shot ever?!

But then I caught fire. I was unstoppable! I won the first round. Aaah ya. Here's one of my many victory dances.
Round two I was still going strong. It was down to just Thomas and I. My poor kids will probably never let me play with them again. I guess i kinda took over their game.

The battle raged on though and turns out I'm a heck of a clutch shooter. But in the end Thomas went away victorious and the kids were playing in the dirt. It's a good thing I love him so much, I even managed to swallow my pride and give him high five.

I'm It!

Ten years ago:

I was living in Provo with a one month old little Marley Mae. She was so tiny and wrinkley and had the delightful talent of projectile vomiting. But I was so very in love with my new little baby.

1. fold and bundle 3o dozen prefold diapers.

2. cut out a sun dress for Aislyn and her friend Myka.

3. vacuum the stairs.

4. attack the never ending laundry.

things I would do if I became a billionaire

I would buy a big farm house with lots of land and have chickens and cows and a huge vegetable garden and fruit trees and of course buy a full years supply of food. And maybe start some sort of non-profit that helped women in underdeveloped countries have healthier and safer pregnancies and births. And of course buy houses for all my family. I'm sure it would go quick, money always does.

5 of my secret bad habits

1.I always bring food to church under the guise that it's for the kids, but really I eat most of it. It drives Thomas crazy. It's probably the reason I'll keep having kids, just so I can have an excuse to eat string cheese whenever I want.

2.I hate matching socks. I mostly just put them in a huge pile and search through when we need a pair. It's probably why everyone in the family is always barefoot.

3.When I eat I always save the best part for last. I hate it when my kids ask for a bite when I'm almost finished. I have to admit I'm pretty selfish and don't often let them have it. I think I might be obsessed with food.

4. I've been known to say a swear word here and there.

5.I stay up way too late and I let my kids stay up late so they'll sleep in, I'm just a night person. But I figure since we home school there's no rush getting up in the morning.

5 things people don't know about me

1.I'm electronically challenged. I don't know how to do much of anything on a computer. I don't even know how I figured out how to create a blog. It was a miracle.

2.I have a tattoo.

3.I am more thankful for my testimony of the gospel than anything else(although some people might already know that).

4.I am really grossed out by hair, not so much if it's still attached to your head, but once it's fallen off it's icky. There's nothing grosser than that ball of hair in the corner of a bathroom.

5.I love to exercise and I especially love that sore feeling you get the day after a really good workout. It's just a reminder that you worked really hard. And there's nothing better in life than working hard.

Not for Humans

So I'm sitting here typing some emails and Aislyn comes in looking kind of grumpy and says,"Mom, chocwat(that's chocolate) is NOT for humans! It's only for me."

Family Visit

As some of you may already know I am lucky enough to have two wonderful dads. My Steve Done dad(as I call him) came for a visit this last week and brought my two brothers and sister. I met them all for the first time just ten years ago when I was pregnant with Marley. They live in Texas so I don't get to see them very often. That actually doesn't adequately describe how little I see them. The last time I saw Kyle, Troy, and Jenna they were just little kids. And now...TEENAGERS! I had so much fun just getting to know them again. It was a wonderful visit and we love them all very much.
See how much Ephraim loves his grandpa! It was the cutest thing how he couldn't stop looking up at his grandpa and smiling.
Here is Troy holding his nephew for the very first time. He's a natural! He's also a natural at playing guitar. I swear we have the next Jimi Hendrix on our hands! He is awesome.
This is my super cute sister Jenna.I had such a good time hanging out with her. She is so sweet and wonderful and fun. I just love her!

And this is Kyle standing on the Narrows bridge. He is such a thoughtful person. He kept me well supplied with treats while he was here and we all know how much I love treats!

AISLYN FRANCIS

This is Aislyn Francis Judd. She is one of the most interesting people I have ever known. Her emotions are a wonder to behold! They are what you might call extreme. For instance one moment you might find her shrieking like a banshee, her wrath in all it's splendor directed at some poor unfortunate soul. Then literally not a minute later she might be found lavishing this very same person with indescribable love and affection.
Here she is leading the music for Family Home Evening with chop sticks. Notice the princess dress which is her preferred article of clothing. She loves dress up especially with her best friend Myka. She loves to say prayer and heaven help the person who would try and take her turn from her. But most of all she loves her family and when she is sweet there is nothing sweeter.
She has her dad wrapped around her little chubby finger. Although I have to admit she has managed to get herself out of trouble with me a time or two with her sparkly eyes and pearly white smile. We are so blessed to have an Aisy J in our family. She keeps life interesting!

EPHRAIM

This is Ephraim Isaac Judd.
He's really starting to get a personality all his own. He wakes up happy every morning. He likes to play and be bounced and tickled. He definately likes to be paid attention to. He loves to move and grab at anything he can reach. My hair and whatever I'm eating seem to be his favorites. He is a very happy and friendly little guy although you wouldn't know it from pictures because he refuses to smile at cameras.

We love him SO much!
